Thought
I’m beginning to be proven right. As I massage the data structures more, I find the functionality starting to fall in place, almost self organize before my mind’s eye. What I have seen is that a triangular structure really lends itself to logical operations. I think I have the logic of the syllogism “Socrates is a man”, “Man is mortal”, “Is Socrates mortal?” figured out in a general case. For now, this I think will suffice. Must work on the implementation of a generalized structure where this trinode trilink “closure” structure is the most flexible for the purposes I am envisioning. I might have it, here, but as always, a grain of salt to this weary thinker, and the latest thought.

Plans
I officially own crowfeather.com, which I wrote before, it is a domain I’ve wanted since I first knew how to register one, back in 2000. Wow, that seems like a world away. I got the news that it was mine whilst I was in an internet cafe in Thailand. That was alright. I went parasailing. I liked riding in a boat in a river there. Mostly, it was to be with the parents, like this whole trip basically is for. I could have said honestly that I was too busy working to go on this voyage, but I probably would have regretted it for pretty much the rest of my life, so it was really a matter of psychic self-preservation. So that’s the way that this goes.

As far as the project is concerned, it turns out that what I have doesn’t do as much as I thought it did, but I also am OK with what it does do, or rather, the structure of the code as it stands. I still go through that up and down of, it’s so simple, it’s impossibly complex, but these days, it’s a feeling more of the former than the latter, and what I’ve written so far goes some way in making me believe it. It’s all good, as far as I’m concerned. That there are more theoretical considerations gives me a chance some more to do some deep thinking, which really, I enjoy. I always have thought that I’ll miss it when everything is figured out, more or less. So here we are, still cogitating.

I have just come back from Daegu, where I went up the mountain of my ancestors for the third time in my life. I also went on 3 setup dates. I told the elders that I thought the first one was “not bad”, whereupon they start planning the wedding. Really, we were delayed one day in getting back to Seoul because there were no more tickets, so they had me go out with her again earlier today. But I really can’t see me going the distance with her. My friend Doug has invited me to “check the scenery”, as it were, at Seoul University, where he is a graduate student. Let’s see how that goes. So this is not the way the world ends, not the way the world ends, not the way the world ends, with a bang, and not a whimper.

In which plans are fruitless, but planning, essential.

Quote
All who call on God in true faith, earnestly from the heart, will certainly be heard, and will receive what they have asked and desired, although not in the hour or in the measure, or the very thing which they ask; yet they will obtain something greater and more glorious than they had dared to ask.
